Liplocked with Manna Kadar Cosmetics

In my first post, I talked about my Ipsy glam bag for January, where I was first introduced to Manna Kadar Beauty. I had never heard of this brand before, and I couldn't even find the company on Instagram when I was tagging the other brands in a photo of the glam bag. However, the company found me and read my review of their Paradise Blush!

If you haven't read the review, hop over to @beautycontinued on Instagram and scroll to the picture of the blush. It's sold for $19, it doubles as an eyeshadow, and it's paraben and cruelty free. I've been loving the blush, and then yesterday a friend gave me a few of their lipsticks for my birthday.

Colors from top to bottom: Aura, Love, Lust, Affair, Karma
Are these gorgeous or what?? Meet the Lip Locked Priming Lipsticks: paraben free, cruelty free, and enriched with Vitamin E. According to the website, all of these shades are semi matte, but Affair has more shimmer than the other four colors. I'm not crazy about the formula for Affair, but the others are so buttery. My favorites are Aura (top) and Karma (bottom). These go for $24 on www.mannakadarcosmetics.com.

I'm looking forward to trying more products from this line! Leave a comment if you have any recommendations.

Kylie Cosmetics: The Valetine's Collection

Kylie wearing "High Maintenance"

Who else is excited about Kylie's Valentine's Collection? I love the campaign, and I'm pumped about the addition of so many pink shades.

We have 3 pink (or close to pink) permanent shades out of the 23 matte lip kits available: Koko K, Posie K, and Kristen. She's teased us with limited edition shades, like Angel from the Holiday Collection, Okurrr from the Koko Kollection, and let's not forget Smile. Now, not only is she releasing 4 new lipsticks, but we're also getting a huge palette with eye shadows and blushes, and 3 "Valentines" that include two eye shadows and two lip products.

I will have to wait for reviews on the eye products, especially after the bad reviews on the King Peach palette. But I will be after the lip sticks!

The miniatures were a huge hit in her Holiday Collection, and I'm so glad she's included them for Valentine's Day. Here are the colors:
  • Apricot (new shade)
  • Maliboo
  • High Maintenance (new shade)
  • Posie K
  • Head Over Heels (new shade)
  • Mary Jo
Let's not forget those two new lipkits! Head Over Heels from the minis will be released as a full size, and so will a gorgeous true pink shade called Valentine. All of these come out at 3pm PST on February 2nd, perfect for shipping in time for the holiday.

What do you guys think of the new releases? Will you buy into the hype?

Ipsy Glam Bag Review: January 2017

Welcome to my blog and its first post! Thank you for taking the time to visit me.

If you aren't familiar with Ipsy, here's a brief summary: beauty subscription, $10 a month, 5 sample size products, unique makeup bags, and friendly community. I've known about Ipsy since Michelle Phan announced it on her YouTube channel, but I just got around to subscribing in October 2016. So far, I like it! One of my favorite features is the ability to review my products every month, and Ipsy uses those reviews to customize my future bags. You also fill out a brief survey on your beauty preferences upon registration. Here's my bag from this month!

There's some fantastic product diversity! Here are the products listed from bottom to top:

  1. Pur~lisse: Blue Lotus Seed mud mask & exfoliant
  2. The Balm Cosmetics: Bahama Mama bronzer
  3. Manna Kadar Beauty: Paradise blush and eyeshadow
  4. Slmissglam: L34 Blend Beauty brush in collaboration with Ipsy
  5. F.U.N Lacquer: TGIF, golden glitter nail polish
I had so much fun testing these products, and I do have a favorite!

I'm crazy in love with this mud mask! I have EXTREMELY sensitive skin, so I tend to stray away from most exfoliating products because they're too rough. However, this one is perfect! It's tough enough to scrub away dry skin and dirt, but it's gentle enough that it doesn't irritate my face. Plus, it brightens and detoxifies your skin! Pur~lisse designed this for all skin types and kept sensitive skin in mind. I love this product!

If you'd like to know my thoughts on the other products in the bag, leave me a comment! I think I'll keep this same format for future beauty subscription posts and only review one product, unless my readers are interested in reviews for everything! If that's the case, I'll do mini reviews of each item to avoid Bible-length blog posts. Let me know what you think about my first blog post! Any feedback is helpful, because I'm learning as I go!
